How do you do it?

I am starting to feel like a complete failure! How do you other mom's that work keep up with your house and have a social life? For those who don't really know me... I work almost an hour from my home (I know that is dumb, but given the fact that they pay really well and have outstanding benefits it's really hard to leave) So by the time I get home and go get the girls it's usually close to 7pm and I am DEAD tired! The last think I want to do is clean my house, do laundry or sweep! My house looks horrible! If it werent' for my mom I am not sure what it would look like! She usually comes at least once a week to watch the girls and some how she finds times to do laundry and staighten up my house. She is such a blessing!

I have also found that while the girls are playing I would much rather be playing with them or taking pictures of them playing. I feel after being away from them for over 12 hours during the day I need that time with them! I can't stand it!

I also know that while I was home with them for the first 3 months of their lives my house was a mess as well, but it just seems worse now! And NO part time is not an option right now.... I just started a new job I can't go in asking to be moved to part time. But I plan on it in a few years :)

And let's talk Social life- Not that I have too many friends outside of my husband, but lord I am not sure when I would squeeze them in! The weekends I would rather spend HOME with my adorable girls and husband! And it's funny because I live far away from my friends...no one ever offers to come to my house it's like we always have to go to theirs... gets on my nerves! And of course finding time for the husband is becoming an issue anymore... I am tired when he is just getting home from work so it's like we never see each other but on Saturday's and Sundays. Life just is not fair! I hate to say it, but part of me wishes I would have stayed miserable at my old job... At least with those hours I was seeing my girls more and my husband! I was tired a lot, but I seen more of my girls! They are going to think my mother is law is their mom since they spend so much time with her.

Well I feel a little better ;) Mom's leave a comment and tell me what you do! Should I hire a cleaning lady? Would it be worth the money? Jack's grandma was here last night and did the laundry and that was WONDERFUL I wonder if she would let me pay her weekly to do it... hmmm that is a thought!

Update on the girls... they are doing great! They are both growing so much... Hannah is so close to crawling! I would say by the end of May she will be all over this house! Gracie will just scoot on her back... she only rolls over if she HAS to! But if she wants to move around she knows how to. No teeth yet! But drool like crazy! Hannah goes back to the doctor for her check up on her ears on the 9th I am so looking forward to seeing how much she weighs. Pictures were posted this week if you haven't been out to see them yet! :) I need to clean my computer up I have over 1500 pictures on my hard drive! And my other laptop has about the same... Would hate to see the price if I printed them all LOL

OK girls are ready for a bottle... They were playing in their highchairs while I wrote this... My girls are SO good! (for now)

Take Care and thanks for letting me 'bitch'

Yes, definately invest in someone to clean your house. You work a full time job and you need the help. Don't feel guilty or bad about it.

As far as the girls not seeing enough of you, they know you're their mommy and that'll never change. I'm sure they are thrilled no matter what time you pick them up, whether it's 7:00 pm or 5:00 pm.

I'd definately hire someone to clean the house.

I know the feeling! I hired a cleaning lady and she is worth every penny AND MORE that I pay her!! My Jack was a little unsure at first but now he cannot believe how wonderful the house feels after cleaning day! and I only have one little munchkin that I'm keeping up with. I decided if I'm sacrificing the time with her to work a full-time job then some of that money can go to getting help so I don't feel guilty about playing with her and not cleaning all the time.
