Carpet...

So Gracie thinks carpet is to eat!

We have new carpet in our house and I can't tell you how many times I have swept but that doesn't matter because little Gracie can always find a piece of it. Wednesday night I had told Jack I need to go to the bathroom to take my make up off and brush my teeth so please keep an eye on the girls. I came out and both girls were sitting on the kitchen floor playing in 'something' I YELLED, Jack the girls have gotten into something! I couldn't figure out what it was.... I bent down and there was a piece of that carpet in the goopy mess! oh my gosh I yelled! Gracie was eating carpet and puked/gagged and probably turned blue! My child probably was choking and NO one was there to help her! (Call Children Services now ;) ) Jack swore he didn't hear me say I was going in the bathroom. Needless to say Gracie was fine and happy has could be playing in her puke! (I know GROSS!) And Hannah was right there with her!

Now the part I would LOVE to know is what was going through Hannah's head while that was taking place! Do you think she was freaking out because something was "wrong" with her sissy? It was a ugly mess and of course they both got scrubbed down. And the floor did to! Gracie is far more interested in putting things in her mouth than Hannah is! She loves eating grass to! She is going to be the child we have to go to school on because she will be eating glue or something!

Needless to say I will be buying a play yard (circle gate) so when mommy has to step way I know the girls are OK!! I am buying a new sweeper this weekend so hopefully it will get any of those pieces that are left! Otherwise my child will have a belly full of carpet or she will die of choking on the darn stuff!
