ABC's & seizures...

Hannah you can now say your ABC's from start to finish...

I honestly thought that they would be potty trained before they would know their ABC's- guess I was wrong!

Gracie you are doing much better this week :) Last week you were very sick....

Your dream has been to ride in the "whoo-whoo's" well baby you got that chance....

On 2/05/07 you were asleep and daddy seen his baby shaking and gasping for breath- you were having a seizure... of course we weren't sure what you were having at the time... all I knew is I was SCARED to death and was afraid of losing you. (your little lips were turning blue) We ended up calling 911 and they transported you. We weren't there very long and the doctor that you had determined that you had a Febrile Seizure - your temp was 103.9 when we got there! You had a ear infection which caused you to spike a fever very fast- your little body could not take the fever as fast as it came one.

So you scared mommy and daddy to DEATH (and sissy too) but everything is OK and we just keep a very close eye on you! Of course now your sleeping in mommy's bed because I can't even think about you being alone and having to go thru a seizure again. (It's highly unlikely that it could happen again) but I just have to have you by me. I can't help to think what would have happened had you NOT been in mommy and daddy's room... (her bed is at the foot of our bed) I don't know that a baby monitor would have picked that up and daddy would not have "seen" you. So for everyone that has given us flack or talked about us for having our kids in our room- this is all reason I need!

OK mommy is crying re-living that night mare of a night.... it was horrible and I NEVER want to go thru that again...
