Tonsillitis

Both girls have it! The last 5 days were some long days! And thankfully I am back to work today! (I missed 3 days) I love the girls with all my heart but to be in the house with them while they are sick for 5 days straight was NOT my cup of tea :) I have begged Jack to allow me to stay home with them instead of working- but I think I would have to send them to Grandma's when they were sick! LOL :)

Hannah is SO needy when she is sick- and Gracie is more leave me alone and if I need you I will come and get you kind of child. So I had a mixture the entire weekend!

Gracie had 1 seizure on Saturday and she "tried" to take 2 more that night. This time the seizure only lasted maybe 30 seconds! I have been reading and talking to her doctor about these so I am not as scared as I use to be. But still NO ONE wants to see their child go through that! There is a 3% chance that once a child has a Febrile Seizure that they will have them again and usually grow out of them by the age of six.... guess Gracie fits into that category huh?

Both girls ran a CONSTANT fever for 4 days straight! VERY ODD!

So any way- they are both doing much better and I almost got a full nights sleep last night! I am hoping for a full one tonight for sure :)

Easter is this weekend and the weather is suppose to be HORRIBLE! (they are calling for highs of 38) so their cute little sleeveless dresses will be worn but with a sweater :(

It's funny because the Easter Bunny has turned into a "big" deal these days- I can remember when I was little (probably 6/7 age) you got candy- well these days kids are getting BIG things! It's really Christmas in April if you ask me... LOL :) I don't want the girls to have a bunch of junk candy - lords knows they will get enough from Grandma's so we are getting them the Sand and Water table from Step 2 I figure they will have good use out of it and it's something they can use for some time! And of course the Easter Bunny will have to bring them some new clothes! :) - I guess I just proved to myself that I am one of those that is turning the holiday into Christmas huh? LOL :) It's just sooo fun shopping for the girls and honestly I feel as long as I work and can afford to buy for them I WILL :) I am sure Jack wishes I would stop but I can't! :)

Well that is all for now...

P.S. Sorry if that was a VERY random post- it took me over 3 hours to write it while working (OOPS)

Hope the girls get to feeling better. Darci had Tonsillitis in January and it about kicked her sweet butt. She didn't leava the couch for over a day.

I can't imagine how scary those seizures are, but it's good you are reading up on them and talking to the Dr so you know what to expect and be prepared.
