Something a little different for the blog....

1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before? Got laid off from my job.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Lord NO! I am making one for 2009 - (to print my photos each month!)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yep- My sister in May! (little Gavin was born)

4. Did anyone close to you die? No.

5. What countries did you visit? None.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? A backbone!

7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 11/15-11/22 (our 1st "real" vacation as a family of four! (to Disney)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Not letting the lay off bring me down!

9. What was your biggest failure? Allowing myself to get laid off....I could/should have moved on before it happened.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? No

11. What was the best thing you bought? The houses that allowed me to stay home with the girls after the lay off. (investments)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Obama - because he stayed in control.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Dumb people!

14. Where did most of your money go? House Payments, Groceries, Junk for my kids!

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? My new Dyson Sweeper! (dork I know)

16. What song will always remind you of 2008? -Sugarland- All I want to do

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:a) happier or sadder? HAPPIER b) thinner or fatter? FATTER c) richer or poorer? RICHER (it's crazy that i lose my job and somehow we figure a way to save money)

18. What do you wish you’d done more of? Gone on more "dates" with my husband...I have this thing about leaving my kids for a "date night" but it's SO important!

19. What do you wish you’d done less of? Worrying about how we would make it without my income... we did it!

20. How did you spend Christmas? At home in the morning, in-laws for lunch, my parents for dinner- which makes for a VERY VERY VERY LONG DAY!

21. Did you fall in love in 2008? Yeah, with my Dyson!!!!

22. What was your favorite TV program? Biggest Loser

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? Hate is a strong word....

24. What was the best book you read? The Lucky One- by Nicholos Sparks- IT WAS SOOO GOOD!

25. What was your greatest musical discovery? Hannah's Opera singing ;)

26. What did you want and get? My Dyson

27. What did you want and not get? To Win the Lottery- 16 lucky butt heads in my TOWN did win the BIG lottery! :(

28. What was your favorite film of this year? I couldn't even tell you- I do not dig watching movies most of the time... Weird I know!

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Went Skating and out for Pizza with my family. 32

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Winning the lottery.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? BORING!

32. What kept you sane? My kids hugs and "I love you Mommy" :)

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Hmm, none.

34. What political issue stirred you the most? Presidential Election.

35. Who did you miss? My daily chats with Emily since I don't work with her anymore! I miss her!

36. Who was the best new person you met? hmm, don't have one here...

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008. My husband won't take a chance on something unless he KNOWS it's right for our family ;)
