Gas Prices, walking, and dirty butts ol my!

I wanted to have something in this blog about what is going on in the world so later in the girls life they can "compare"
Earlier this week (8/29) the United States was hit with a Hurricane. They always name the hurricanes so this was hurricane Katrina. "She" hit Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida but the worst hit was Louisiana and Mississippi. There are deaths and people stranded. Most people in New Orleans have no home left - it's a sad, sad, story. By the way girls it was a category 5 (hopefully you will learn all about that some day in science class :) )

All of America is feeling the impact some how- Here in Ohio our gas prices are being affected. As of this morning it was $3.09 in the town we live in! Daddy drives a Ford Excursion which only gets 10 miles to the gallon so far he is not freaking out but Mommy is! ;) I have a little civic that gets great gas mileage so I am OK for now.

OK now on to "baby" talk-
Hannah I was just bragging about you not eating things like Gracie does and just Tuesday night you tried to chew on a dirty diaper. (NO I did not let her) So now you’re a dirty butt! :) But I still love you!
You also are standing on your own now- I counted one night to 45 and you were still standing, but everyone keeps saying Gracie will walk first. So we shall see...

I also forgot to mention on 8/22 we bought your next car seats and now you ride facing the road which you seem to really like. We got a good deal on the seats so I could not pass them up! Makes a big difference when traveling now. I just hate how you sleep in them. Breaks my heart to see your head hanging...
